Ario Technologies Raises $1M in Seed Funding

arioArio Technologies, a Norkolk, VA-based augmented reality software platform, raised $1M in seed funding.

Backers included 757 Angels, Plug and Play Ventures and Center for Innovative Technology (CIT) in Norfolk, Virginia.

The company intends to use the funds to expand its industrial enterprise product offering and accelerate their go-to-market strategy.

Founded in 2016 by Joe Weaver, chief executive officer, and Nate Fender, chief operating officer, Ario Technologies is the creator of Ario, an augmented reality (AR) software-as-a-service (SaaS) platform. Using the platform, teams can create and share real-time spatial information, leveraging real-world data in the real world.
It can be used by organizations that aim to:
– enhance training, reduce downtime in manufacturing;
– increase safety in industrial environments; and
– provide remote expert assistance in real-time.
