WellSky Acquires HCS

wellskyWellSky, a Lenexa, Kan.-based health and community care technology company, acquired Health Care Software, Inc., a provider of integrated clinical and financial IT software for long-term and post-acute care providers.

The amount of the deal was not discloswed.

With the acquisition, WellSky’s enterprise-level technology will expand into long-term acute care and inpatient behavioral health care settings and accelerate growth and capture new market opportunities to deliver a broader set of products and services to established enterprise clients.

Led by Tom Fahey, CEO, HCS provides an integrated clinical and financial IT platform to LTACH, senior living, and behavioral health facilities. Since 1969, the HCS Interactant® platform has been delivering enterprise-wide solutions for revenue cycle management, financial reporting, electronic medical records, mobile technology, and business intelligence.
HCS will maintain its office and operations in Wall Township, New Jersey, with Fahey continuing to lead in that location. The company will be gradually integrated into the WellSky brand over time.
