Spark Capital, a venture capital firm that invests in startups led by creative thinkers, is seeking to raise $1.2 billion for two funds.
According to two forms filed with the SEC, the firm is raising:
– its $400m sixth fund, called Spark Capital VI, L.P.. People related with this raise include: Paul Conway, Alex Finkelstein, Nabeel Hyatt, Jeremy Philips, Santo Politi, Bijan Sabet, and Kevin Thau.
– its $800m third growth fund, called Spark Capital Growth Fund III, L.P. People related with this raise include: Megan Quinn, Conway, Finkelstein, Philips, Politi and Sabet.
The two vehicles haven’t raised any sum, yet.
Founded ten years ago, Spark Capital is a venture capital firm that invests in startups led by creative thinkers partnering with entrepreneurs who make products and services for consumers as well as business people. The firm has offices in San Francisco, New York City, and Boston.
In total, Spark Capital manages five funds with $3B under management.
