Pinpoint Raises $13.5M in Series A Funding

pinpointPinpoint, an Austin, TX-based provider of an analytics platform for measuring and optimizing software engineering, raised $13.5m in Series A financing.

The round was led by Bessemer Venture Partners, with participation from Storm Ventures, Boldstart Ventures, Bloomberg Beta, Slack Fund, Social Capital and Cherubic Ventures.

The company intends to use the funds to to accelerate the adoption of its platform.

Led by CEO Jeff Haynie, and Chief Product Officer, Nolan Wright, Pinpoint provides an analytics platform for software engineering. By applying machine learning to activity from a range of software lifecycle systems (Jira, GitHub, GitLab, BitBucket, SonarQube, etc.), the system gives leaders a view of costs, results, efficiency and performance.
The company has just formally launched its platform, which requires no change in work processes, and no manual inputs from teams. Engineering teams work the way they work, in their systems of choice, and Pinpoint turns that system activity into actionable insights via advanced analytics and machine learning.
