Mattermost, a Palo Alto, CA-based messaging platform for engineering teams at large organizations, closed a $20m series A funding.
The round was led by Redpoint Ventures with participation from S28 Capital and Y Combinator.
The company intends to use the funds to continue to expand its business reach.
Led by Ian Tien, CEO and co-founder, Mattermost provides an open source secure collaboration software platform to accelerate DevOps workflows messaging across web, desktop and native mobile devices.
Enterprises relying on Mattermost for collaboration include top banks, internet companies, U.S. federal agencies, semiconductor manufacturers and thousands of others across the financial services, public sector, defense, online services and manufacturing industries.
In addition to IT-led deployments, the system is being delivered to the world’s leading high-security enterprises through a growing network of systems integration partners.
