ecoSPEARS Closes $2M Seed Funding Round

ecoSPEARSecoSPEARS, Inc., an Orlando, Fla.-based cleantech company, completed its initial $2m seed funding round.

The round was led by Kirenaga Partners, with participation from the Orlando-based EIA Social Enterprise Fund I, a seed fund specifically created to invest in early-stage social entrepreneurs.

The company intends to use the funds to continue to expand operations and scale the business.

Led by Serg Albino, Co-Founder and CEO, ecoSPEARS provides NASA-patented green remediation technologies to permanently extract and destroy PCBs, PBDE, DDT, PAHs, dioxins and other toxins from contaminated soil, sediment, leachate, and groundwater.

Once the PCBs are extracted from the contaminated media, the company’s tech uses a proprietary green chemical process to destroy the toxic chemicals and future liabilities – forever.
