Badi Raises $30M in Funding

badiBadi, a Barcelona, Spain-based provider of an app to find room and a roommate, raised $30m in funding.

The round, which brought total funding to date to $45m, was led by GoodWater Capital with participation from Target Global, Spark Capital and Mangrove Capital.

The company will use the funds to expand its business reach.

Founded in 2015 by Carlos Pierre, Badi provides an app for people to find a roommate, according to age, tastes, and interests via artificial intelligence.
The app allows users to list or look for rooms in shared flats, send rental requests to people who suit their lifestyle, meet candidates according to their interests and social connections and chat instantly without intermediaries with their future roommates.
The company has become the leader of the flat sharing market in Spain (Barcelona, Valencia, Seville, Granada, Malaga, Alicante, Salamanca, Palma de Mallorca, Murcia, and Zaragoza) and started its internalization process by entering London, Paris, Rome, and Amsterdam.
Badi currently lists more than 120,000 rooms.
