Las Cruces, New Mexico Virtual Caregiver Company Raises $35M in Private Equity

LAS CRUCES, N.M., Dec. 10, 2018 /PRNewswire/ — Headquartered in Las Cruces, New Mexico, SameDay Security is a company that develops and sells electronic health monitoring and emergency response systems under the brands Electronic Caregiver and Addison Care. As of December 2018, the company has completed their Series D round or private equity offerings, bringing their total funding to $35M using 506 Reg D offerings from accredited investors and family offices. Shareholders include notable executives currently or formally associated in high-level positions with Honda, Oracle, Merrill Lynch, BlackRock Asia and Hospital Corporation of America.

In January 2019, the company plans to seek additional funding comprised primarily of Institutional and strategic investors facilitating it access to credit revolvers. This move coincides with their debut of Addison, the world’s first virtual caregiver at the 2019 Consumer Electronics Show in Las Vegas, Nevada. This will be the company’s first public demonstration of Addison Care, billed as the only comprehensive virtual caregiving system in the world.

SameDay Security, Inc. has invested most of its capital in over 7 years of research and development. Working with laboratories in health and aging research at New Mexico State University, the company has coordinated a number of connected devices coupled to sensing and biomechanical assessment tools, used to screen thousands of patients and aging individuals across the country. Their unique platforms involve an innovative and expansive array of technologies including high quality 3D augmented reality interfaces, conversational speech, machine learning, visual sensing, mobile, biomechanical analytics, health plans of care, EHR integration, medication management tools and integrated hardware.

What began as a futuristic concept for Dohrmann, the Founder and CEO of SameDay Security, Inc., quickly became reality with the design, innovation and creation of Addison Care. “We wanted to give new life to voice-based virtual assistants in a way that dramatically expanded the utility of voice and connected devices, while significantly enhancing the user experience. Our goals are to provide utilization and customer satisfaction, while reducing instances of hospitalization, complications and mortalities. We are focused on improving outcomes, treatment adherence and lowering caregiving costs and stress. We deliver the solution where it’s needed most, outside the providers walls and in the environment of daily living where patients and aging individuals spend most of their time. We deliver critical insights,” Dohrmann said.

Addison can currently provide security with immediate response to emergencies. She has the ability to monitor your vitals with Bluetooth devices following a simple and easy to understand demonstration. Addison can assist with nutrition, weight loss goals, health and plans of care, examinations and monitored medication reminders. She can even assess the way you move and walk to see if your risk of falling increases day to day. Addison also works with providers to check health status for trends of improvement or decline. The company is preparing to launch new websites in December and promises significant public disclosures at the Las Vegas Consumer Electronics Show and at the Wynn Hotel Showstoppers media event.

SameDay Security, Inc., is unique in that it currently provides automated health monitoring solutions involving residential emergency response, activity detection, medication management, telehealth, vitals monitoring, voice interface, and now has an established and growing go-to-market strategy through private duty health care partners and various medical centers and providers. The company already provides services to thousands of residential users under the brand Electronic Caregiver and has Addison powered products assisting physical therapists and clinicians in clinical environments.

Dohrmann said, “We’ve built a model for unprecedented service and scale. We’ve capitalized without outside support. We’ve forged partnerships with leading technology companies. The next capital we announce will be used to aggressively take advantage of our first mover position, expand domestic sales and prepare localization for international markets and cultures.”
