Gorilla Technology Raises $15M in Series D Funding

gorillaGorilla Technology Group, a Taipei, Taiwan-based Edge AI and computer vision solutions provider, secured $15m in Series D funding.

SBI Investment, a subsidiary of the SBI Group, made the minority investment.

The company plans to use the funds to:
– enhance their AI and video analytics algorithms for the financial tech space,
– build a worldwide sales and marketing presence, as well as
– expand its presence in Japanese markets.

Established in 2001, and led by Dr. Spincer Koh, CEO, Gorilla Technology Group is an Edge AI and computer vision solutions provider. The company develop a wide range of video-centric and content management applications including Smart Retail, Smart School, Smart Enterprise, Smart Surveillance and broadcast media.
In addition, Gorilla provides a complete security convergence solution to government institutes, telecom companies and private enterprises with network surveillance and cyber security.
In June this year, Intel announced the company as the first certified video analytic solution on Intel’s OpenVINO IoT toolkit.
