Farmstead Raises Additional $2.2M in Funding

farmsteadFarmstead, a San Francisco, CA-based AI-powered digital grocer that sources and delivers fresh, local food from farm to fridge in 60 minutes, raised an additional $2.2M in funding.

Backers included Artis Labs, Resolute Ventures, Y Combinator, Red Dog Capital and other investors.

The company, which has raised $7.5M in total funding to date, intends to use the capital for geographic expansion.

Led by CEO and co-founder Pradeep Elankumaran, Farmstead leverages AI-powered predictive analytics models to predict demand, supply accordingly, deliver orders of fresh local products in less than an hour, and minimize food waste.
The company operates in the Bay Area since 2016.
