rfcodeRF Code, an Austin, Texas-based provider of real-time physical asset management and environmental monitoring solutions for data centers, raised $6.6m in a new round of funding.

Unnamed current investors participated.

The company intends to use the funds to accelerate product development and global expansion, and add new talent.

Led by new CEO Dale Quayle, RF Code is a provider of automated, real-time physical asset management and environmental solutions to data centers. Its CenterScape platform replaces inaccurate manual processes with real-time intelligence from data generated by its proprietary sensor networks.
The solution is tracking more than three million sensors worldwide and has delivered over $100 million in savings to hundreds of customers, including more than half of the internet and telecommunications companies in the Fortune 500.

Quayle will be responsible for driving the next phase of RF Code’s growth, product development and entry into new vertical markets, while building on sales and engineering teams.
He comes to RF Code from his role as CEO at Digital Fuel, a divestiture of VMware.
Prior to Digital Fuel, Quayle was CEO of Integrien, which was acquired by VMware in 2011, and held executive positions at Hewlett Packard.
