Open Mineral, a Zug, Switzerland-based provider of a commodities trading platform to buy and sell metal concentrates, raised €4.8m in Series B funding.
The round was led by Emerald Technology Ventures with participation from Igor Kim of Xploration Capital, and Goldcorp, a Vancouver-based mining company.
The company intends to use the capital to expand the reach of its platform.
Founded in 2017 by Boris Eykher, CEO, and Ilya Chernilovskiy, COO, Open Mineral provides a cloud-based exchange platform that connects buyers and sellers to trade physical commodities transparently. The platform also offers access to additional services integral to smooth trade execution such as freight, surveying, financing and insurance.
