Frazier Healthcare Partners Adds Mimi Hancock to Life Sciences Team

frazierVenture capital firm Frazier Healthcare Partners has added Mimi Hancock, Ph.D., to its Life Sciences team as a Senior Advisor to assist with attracting top talent for backed companies.

Dr. Hancock has over 20 years of experience in the executive search industry. Prior to joining Frazier, she was a member of Spencer Stuart’s Life Sciences Practice. Her executive search experience included assignments for organizations ranging from emerging life sciences companies to multinational biotechnology, pharmaceutical and medical technology firms.
She executed searches for board members, and senior executives in general management and R&D, as well as a variety of commercial, finance and business development positions.
Dr. Hancock previously served as Vice President of Operations and co-founder at Avigen, a startup gene therapy company. Prior to that, she was the Director of Cell Biology at Somatix Therapy Corporation, a publicly-held gene therapy company.
Earlier in her career, Dr. Hancock worked at Triton Biosciences, where she conducted pioneering research on a novel therapeutic approach targeting the Her2 protein in breast and ovarian cancer.
She began her career in healthcare with Peralta Cancer Research Institute as a staff scientist, and previously served on the board of directors of Bionovo, a public company developing novel therapeutics for breast cancer and women’s health.
