Dormify, a NYC-based brand that redefined stylish dorm room and apartment décor, raised $3.45m in Series A funding.

The round was led by AEO Inc. (NYSE: AEO).

The company intends to use the funds to scale talent, expand pop-up locations and enhance the online experience for their fans.

Founded by Amanda Zuckerman and her mom Karen in 2012, Dormify has offered college students and post-grads tools, resources and products to create their first home-away-from-home. The brand aims to simplify the decor shopping experience by creating and curating exclusive products specifically designed for small space living.

The company will debut a more personalized online shopping experience that allows their Millennial and Gen Z customers to visualize and decorate their future spaces. It will also launch additional pop-up locations in the Spring 2019 and continue to scale their “Dormifam” on-campus ambassador program to stay engaged with their college following.
