Citrix Acquires Micro App Platform Sapho

citrixCitrix Systems, Inc. (NASDAQ:CTXS) acquired Sapho, a San Bruno, CA-based provider of a micro app platform.

The amount of the deal was reportedly $200m.

The acquisition will enable Citrix to enhance the guided work capabilities within Citrix® Workspace™, enabling people to work at speed.

Led by Fouad ElNaggar, co-founder and CEO, Sapho enables companies to automatically surface personalized and relevant tasks from existing systems and deliver them to any device, intranet or collaboration tool. Using pre-defined APIs that integrate with enterprise applications and more than 50 micro-apps for applications such as Salesforce, Workday, Concur, ServiceNow, Outlook, Google Drive and more, companies can guide employees through their most common work so that they can get things done and move on.
