Attribytes, a Chandler, Ariz.-based provider of a software platform that allows foodservice suppliers and distributors to connect and share data, secured $1.7m in Series A funding.
Backers included Canal Partners and Tallwave Capital.
The company intends to use the funds to add up to 15 more people to focus on sales and further product development.
Led by CEO Mike Kovarik, Attribytes provides a SaaS platform that allows manufacturers and distributors to collect, share and manage data to drive sales growth.
For distributors, the suite of tools provides comprehensive product information and analytics to identify both problems and opportunities. Suppliers can gain insights on how their products are being displayed on distributor point-of-sale systems and see who is buying.
The system is used by over 8,500 foodservice manufacturers and distributors.
