ZypMedia, a San Francisco, CA-based creator of an AI-powered, local-first programmatic advertising platform built specifically for media companies, completed a $5.6m Series C funding.
The round was led by Archer Venture Capital, with participation from existing investors U.S. Venture Partners (USVP) and Sinclair Broadcast Group (Sinclair). In conjunction with the funding, Greg Martin, Managing Director of Archer Capital, will join the ZypMedia board.
The company intends to use the funds to develop and launch new enterprise products to the platform and to double the size of its staff in the U.S. and internationally over the next 12 months.
Founded by former college roommates Aman Sareen, Chief Executive Officer, and Ramandeep Ahuja, Chief Technology Officer, along with media executive Mark Goldman, ZypMedia provides an advertising platform used by some of the nation’s largest broadcasters and media companies to plan, buy, execute, and manage programmatic campaigns for their local clients across all digital channels, including over-the-top (OTT).
