WhiteSource, a New York, Boston and Tel Aviv, Israel-based provider of open source security management solutions, secured $35m in funding.
The round was led by Susquehanna Growth Equity with participation from return backers 83North and M12 – Microsoft Ventures.
The company intends to use the funds to continue to expand adotion of its solutions in the the enterprise market with the opening of sales, marketing and customer support operations in London and San Francisco as well as additional locations.
Founded in 2011 by Rami Sass, CEO, WhiteSource provides continuous security management solutions that empower businesses to develop software by leveraging open source.
The platform, which features effective usage analysis to reduce vulnerabilities alerts by 70%, is used by more than 500 customers worldwide, from all verticals, and sizes, including Microsoft, IBM, Comcast and KPMG.
