Vayavision Raises $8M in Seed Funding

Autonomous Vehicles Self Driving Cars GaugeVayavision, a Tel Aviv, Israel-based provider of raw data fusion and perception systems for self-driving vehicles, raised $8m in seed funding.

The round was led by Viola Ventures, Mizmaa Ventures and OurCrowd, with strategic participation from Mitsubishi UFJ Capital Co., ltd. (MUCAP), and LG Electronics.

The company intends to use the funds to focus on developing customer engagement, as well as marketing and building partnerships with OEMs and Tier 1 suppliers around the world.

Led by Ronny Cohen, CEO and co-founder, Youval Nehmadi, CTO and co-founder, Vayavision provides raw data fusion and perception systems for autonomous vehicles. Its patented autonomous driving technology combines camera, LiDAR, and radar input to provide a full environmental model of the driving scenario, including lane detection, object classification and tracking, traffic and road sign recognition, and free space analysis.
