suitX Raises Series B Funding

shoulderXsuitX, a Berkeley, CA-based robotics company specializing in the design and manufacturing of medical and industrial exoskeletons, raised a series B funding of undisclosed amount.

The round was led by Wistron Corporation.

The company intends to use the funds for the product development and the expansion of global sales and marketing of suitX.

Led by CEO Homayoon Kazerooni, suitX designs and manufactures industrial, rehabilitation and assistive exoskeletons. MAX, its industrial exoskeletons, consist of three light-weight industrial modules. The modules enhance workers’ productivity by reducing their muscle strain while performing strenuous activities including lifting, stooping, bending and squatting.
suitX’s innovative Phoenix medical exoskeleton allows individuals with neurological and mobility disorders to be upright and mobile, whether rehabilitating in a hospital or at home.
The company has recently completed all clinical studies in preparation for Phoenix’s FDA submission.
