Real Estate Startup Landis Raises $2M in Funding

real estateLandis, a NYC-based marketplace for institutional real estate investing, raised $2M in funding.

The round was led by Signia Venture Partners with participation from Red Swan Ventures, Graph Ventures, and Kima Ventures, as well as the founders of RealtyShares (Nav Athwal), Compass, Floored, Tango, Rypple, and Stanford professor and JetBlue Chairman Joel Peterson.

The company intends to use the funds to build its team, improve its technology and communicate its value to real estate owners.

Co-founded in 2017 by Cyril Berdugo and Tom Petit, Landis allows investors to source and acquire portfolios of single family homes. The company uses advanced data science and machine learning to source off-market portfolios and match them with relevant buyers. These portfolios typically comprise 10 to 50 properties and allow the buyers to scale quickly in their targeted geographies. Landis’ clients include the largest residential investors in the US with $200 billion of assets under management.

The company also recently acquired one of its competitors, GoldenKey.
