Postworks, a Northampton, UK-based online franking company providing small and medium sized businesses with a software-based alternative to franked business post, received an investment from Foresight Group LLP.
Foresight Group made the investment on behalf of the Midlands Engine Investment Fund.
Launched in late 2016 by James and Marvee-Lisa Booker, Postworks provides a software platform that allows businesses to “drag and drop” their post for electronic sorting, printing and folding at its printing centre before being handed over to the Royal Mail for delivery.
The company intends to use the funds for the recruitment of additional staff to add to their product development team and operational development and creation of new technologies to increase production capacity.
Over the next five years, Postworks plans to open eight strategically placed print centres.
Simon Moate has joined the business as Chairman.
