Phoenix Labs, a Vancouver, Canada- and and San Mateo, CA-based independent game studio committed to building shared gaming experiences, raised a Series C financing of undisclosed amount.
The round was led by Sapphire Ventures, with participation from Everblue Management and other current investors.
Founded in 2014 by Jesse Houston, Sean Bender and Robin Mayne, CEO, Phoenix Labs is an independent game company. Their debut title, Dauntless, is an online cooperative action game, which surpassed two million players on PC shortly after launching into Open Beta in May 2018.
The company intends to use the funds to expand their studios, increase live service operations, develop new content for their debut title, Dauntless, and to explore new platforms and reach brand new audiences.
