Moz Acquires Stat Search Analytics

mozMoz, Inc., a Seattle, WA-based provider of search engine optimization technology solutions, acquired Stat Search Analytics, a Vancouver, Canada-based leader in rank tracking and SERP (search engine result page) analytics for enterprises and digital agencies.

The amount of the deal was not disclosed.

Founded in 2009, Stat provides large-scale, daily rank tracking and SERP analytics online brands and digital agencies, including eBay, Trivago, 360i and iProspect.

The acquisition will enable Moz to bolster its solutions expanding the scale of organic search results data and insights and increasing flexibility of solutions for large enterprises and agencies. Moz plans to retain and expand the Stat team in Vancouver, and add Stat CEO Rob Bucci as Vice President of Research and Development.
The combined company expects to launch new integrated solutions for enterprises next year.

Founded in 2004 and led by CEO Sarah Bird, Moz provides search engine optimization (SEO) technology and local search management solutions to allow marketers to learn how to reach their customers in an efficient way by improving their visibility in search results.
In the first half of the year, the company increased new enterprise business by nearly 40 % with the addition of one of the largest insurance providers in the country, as well as a multinational restaurant chain.
