Kahoot!, an Oslo, Norway-based learning platform, raised $15m in funding.
The round, which brought total funding raised to date to $60m and the company valuation to approx. $300m, was led by existing investor Datum Invest AS.
Launched in 2012, Kahoot! is a game based learning platform which now hosts over 70 million monthly active users and a library with more than 50 million learning games, created and shared by fans in more than 200 countries.
The company, which has offices in London, Austin and Palo Alto, has also launched its enterprise plans designed specifically for large companies for a secure deployment across teams and geographies. These offerings are designed for HR, learning and development, sales, marketing and product teams to use Kahoot! to gamify corporate training, employee onboarding, remote training, presentations, team building, events, etc.
Other investors include Microsoft Ventures, Northzone, Creandum, Datum Invest AS and Chairman Eilert Hanoa.
