Hmatix Raises $500K in Seed Funding

hmatixHmatix Inc., a Sunnyvale, Calif.-based cybersecurity company focused on cyber attacks on medical devices and industrial IoT, has emerged from stealth raising $500K in seed funding.

The backers were not disclosed.

Founded in 2017 and led by CEO Dev Gandhi and Chief Product Officer Sunil Menon, Hmatix provides an autonomous, hardware-based, endpoint cybersecurity solution that secures IoT endpoints such as such as IIoT, medical devices, PoS terminals and closed/proprietary devices, with autonomous protection, detection and response. The system detects anomalies with low-false positives due to the proximity of the connected device. Response happens automatically by blocking traffic in real-time, disrupting potential attacks.

Today, Hmatix is officially launching the first autonomous, hardware-based, endpoint cybersecurity solution for industrial IoT. It provides hospital and industrial IT departments a smart way to directly protect their network and IoT devices from cyber attacks and ransomware.
