Catalog Raises $1.5M in Seed Funding

catalogCatalog, a Los Angeles, CA-based company working with artificial intelligence and independent visual artists to automate and scale custom visual content production, raised $1.5m in seed funding.

The round was led by Moonshots Capital with participation from Techstars and Luma Launch. In conjunction with the funding, Moonshots Capital co-founder and Managing General Partner Kelly Perdew will join the board. Previous investors include:

  • Day One Ventures,
  • Greedy Fish Ventures,
  • Mikhail Naumov,
  • Eric Siu, and
  • Jonathan Berent, Director of Global Customer Experience at Google.

Founded in 2016 by Patrick Ip, CEO, Catalog uses artificial intelligence and visual artists to automate and scale visual content production.

The company automates the entire content creation process from start to finish enabling companies of all sizes to tell their stories through custom visual content. Catalog also uses visual data and AI to proactively produce custom, predictive content so customers always have new, on-brand content before they know they need it.

The company has already completed projects for National Geographic, Sony Music, OmniCharge, Pioneer, Patchology, and others.
