Brainstorm Ventures Launches Second Venture Capital Fund

San Francisco, CA-based Brainstorm Ventures has launched its second fund and announced its first three investments of this fund.

Co-founded in 1999 Eduardo Rallo and Keith Cox and led by Ariel Jaduszliwer, Managing Partner, Brainstorm Ventures is an early-stage venture capital firm that invests in technology startups, primarily in Silicon Valley and Mexico.
Investment focus areas include:
– Consumer
– Hospitality
– Marketplaces
– SaaS
– Internet of Things
– Artificial Intelligence
– Fintech
– Edtech
– Augmented Reality
– Technology Transfer

The firm’s leverages a network of advisors and technical experts, and strategic relationships with corporations and governmentsto support the growth of backed companies.

Main investments have included OpenTable (IPO), Zappos (acquired by Amazon), Me.com (acquired by Apple), and KIO Networks.

The second fund allows the firm to continue supporting proven and promising founders in the US and in Latin America who are developing disruptive technologies and business models, and to continue capitalizing on cross-border synergies.
Over the summer, the fund has already invested in:
– Higia Technologies, a Mexican wearable device company dedicated to breast cancer detection that plans to begin trials with Stanford Medicine this year,
– Sail Internet, an innovative ISP that delivers affordable, high-speed Internet access and excellent customer service, and
– a stealth AI startup focused on the future of work.
