Sisense Raises $80M To Advance BI Analytics Platform

Sisense- LogoSisense, a NYC-based provider of a business analytics platform for complex data, closed an $80m funding round.

The round, which brought total funding raised to date to approximately $200m, was led by Insight Venture Partners, with participation from existing investors. In conjunction with the funding, Zack Urlocker, previously COO of Duo Security and Zendesk, who has led four companies to a total $10 billion valuation, joined Sisense Board of Directors

The company intends to use the funds to accelerate hiring, global growth and adoption of its Single-Stack™ analytics platform.

Led by Chief Executive Officer Amir Orad, Sisense provides a hybrid-cloud business analytics platform that allows users with no special background to prepare, analyze and visualize large, volumes and variety of data. The platform covers every step of business intelligence – from data preparation and mashup to discovery of insights in seconds. The company embeds these insights and allow them to be consumed everywhere – on the web and mobile, in dedicated apps and products, via voice or chat, using natural human language or IoT devices.

Sisense serves thousands of clients across dozens of industries, ranging from innovative startups to global Fortune 50 brands, including GE, Nasdaq, Philips, Oppenheimer, TIAA, Rolls Royce, Air Canada, Accenture, Expedia’s Egencia and Mazda.

The company has more than 450 employees spread across its New York headquarters, and Tel Aviv, Kiev, Tokyo and Arizona offices.
