Shepper Raises £4.2M in Series A Funding

shepperShepper, a London, UK-based provider of a mobile app to perform on-demand tailored data collection & operational activities for businesses all over the world via a network of local people, raised £4.2m in Series A funding.

The round was co-led by Aviva Ventures and Idekapital Fund 1.

The company intends to use the funds to accelerate product development and international marketing efforts.

Launched in April 2017 by Ben Prouty, Shepper provides individuals and businesses all over the world as a means to check on distant properties or assets through a network of Shepherds, mostly retirees and students, who are paid to take photographs and file reports.
It is used by a range of small and large business to check on all types of property and assets on a regular basis as well as providing basic tasks.

The app has already 3,000 shepherds in London, Paris, and Sydney.
