Momentum IoT, a Long Beach, CA-based provider of cloud-managed telematics platform for mixed fleets, raised $3.1m in funding.
The round was led by Howard Edmund Capital, with participation from Thompson Aerospace, an aircraft tracking and data solutions provider whose systems manage position tracking, virtual flight data recorder, real-time credit card processing and passenger data.
The company intends to use the funds to accelerate the launch of its 4th Generation Cloud Managed IoT solutions.
Led by CEO Justin Silva and newly added Chief Marketing Officer Dev Bhatia, Momentum IoT provides small and mid-sized fleet managers with a cloud-managed platform to locate and manage mixed fleets including trucks, trailers, heavy or light equipment, with plug-and-play operability in vehicles ranging from Ford and GM trucks to heavy equipment and ATVs, and including power generators and pumps.
