Lendela, a Singapore-based loan broker, raised $940k in seed financing.

The round was led by Cocoon Capital and IMO Ventures.

Co-founded by Shylendra S. A. Nathan (CEO) and Nima Karimi (VP Product), Lendela leverages an online platform that offers borrowers the best interest rates for personal loans from several banks at once. The system optimizes the loan application process by submitting a single application to multiple lenders. The network lenders then respond fast with the best possible interest rates. At this point, some algorithms create the optimal customer-lender fit.
The portal is currently in beta release in Singapore and Malaysia with a full feature release planned for later in the year.

The company is part of the global fintech group Zentro Finmarket, which launched its first loan brokering platform, FinanZero.com.br, in Brazil in 2016.
