Joint Academy Raises $7M in Series A Funding

joint academyJoint Academy, a Malmo, Sweden-based healthcare startup, raised $7m in Series A funding.

The round was led by Alfvén & Didriksson with participation from existing shareholders.

The company intends to use the funds to expand operations and scale its offering beyond Sweden.

Led by Jakob Dahlberg, CEO, Daniel Grahn, CTO, and Leif Dahlberg, Chief Medical Officer, Joint Academy offers a digital program to treat osteoarthritis by combining physical activity, education, and healthcare professionals always on hand.
The company’s digital health platform connects osteoarthritis patients with physiotherapists who provide them with individual care and recommend exercises.
Currently, more than 100 physiotherapists are working on the platform.
