Business Law Firm Startup Atrium Raises $65M

atriumAtrium, a San Francisco, CA-based business law firm startup, raised $65M in funding.

The round was led by Andreessen Horowitz with participation from General Catalyst, YC Continuity Fund, and Sound Ventures. In conjunction with the funding, Andrew Chen (Andreessen Horowitz) and Michael Seibel (YC) will be joining the board. Marc Andreessen (Andreessen Horowitz) will be joining as a board observer.

The company has also announced that this summer they acquired Tetra, an AI company (YC W17) that uses AI to take notes on phone calls, to help users focus, remember the details, and keep the team in sync.

They will use the funds to continue to expand its development efforts and its business reach.

Co-founded by Justin Kan, Nick Cortes and Augie Rakow, Atrium is a client-centric law firm providing legal services and applications to fast-growing companies. The company has served hundreds of companies with such services as drafting and reviewing commercial contracts, raising new capital, etc.
According to a post, so far, Atrium has helped over 250 clients raise a total of over $500m in primary financings.
The company has over 110 employees.
