Fashion Software Startup Unmade Raises $4M in Funding

unmadeUnmade, a London, UK-based fashion software startup, raised $4m in funding.

The round was led by Felix Capital with participation from Connect Ventures, LocalGlobe, Carmen Busquets, Backed VC and C4 Ventures.

The company intends to use the funds to expand the business across multiple brands, factories and geographies, and further grow the team.

Founded in 2014 by Hal Watts, Kirsty Emery and Ben Alun-Jones, recently joined by Joel Chippindale, CTO, Unmade provides a platform that gives brands the ability to offer customizable products and manufacture the results. The company works with brands to create parameters that consumers can design their individual orders within. It calls it curated customization, with brands having control and the consumer feeling involved and engaged in the experience and product.
E-commerce orders are sent direct to the brand’s factory, made and delivered straight to the consumer.

Unmade’s technology seamlessly integrates individual and short run orders into existing production, this meaning individual orders can be manufactured at the same cost and speed as mass-produced items.
