Electric Scooter Startup felyx Raises €3M in Funding

felyxfelyx, an Amsterdam, The Netherlands-based electric scooter startup, raised €3m in funding.

The funding included a €2m tranche from the ABN AMRO bank and others, which added to a €1m round raised earlier in 2018.

The company intends to use the funds to expand to Rotterdam.

Founded in 2016 by Quinten Selhorst, felyx offers shared electric scooters available for €0,30 per minute. Within the service area, customers can reserve and park felyx scooters anywhere they want. The Apple and Android app enables them to locate, reserve, and activate the nearest e-scooter. There are more than 400 e-scooters available to use for only €0,30 per minute in Amsterdam and the company is now launching in Rotterdam with plans to expand nationwide.
