Thompson Street Capital Partners Closes Fifth Private Equity Fund, at $1.15 Billion

Thompson Street Capital PartnersThompson Street Capital Partners, a St. Louis-based private equity firm focused on investing in founder-led middle market businesses, closed its fifth investment fund, at $1.15 billion.

Thompson Street Capital Partners V, LP, received commitments from a diverse group of new and existing global investors comprised of corporate and foreign pension funds, endowments, foundations and family offices.
Consistent with prior funds, the partners of TSCP have made significant personal capital commitments to TSCP V.

Led by Jim Cooper, Founder and Managing Partner, Thompson Street Capital Partners pursues investment opportunities primarily in healthcare and life science services, software and technology services and business services and engineered products.
As with previous funds, TSCP V will seek equity investments of $25m to $150m in companies with EBITDA between $5m and $20m.

Founded in 2000, the firm has acquired more than 100 companies and has managed more than $2.6 billion in equity.

Kirkland & Ellis LLP served as fund counsel for TSCP. Park Hill Group served as placement agent for TSCP.
