RaiseMe Raises Additional $15M in Series B Funding

RaiseMe, a San Francisco, CA-based edtech startup focused on easing the way high school students access college scholarships, raised an additional $15m in Series B funding.

The round, which brought total venture capital funding to date to $31.5m, was led by Teamworthy Ventures with participation from the Chan Zuckerberg Initiative, Salesforce Ventures and Strada Education Network.

The company intends to use the funds to continue to expand operations and its reach and launch the new RaiseMe for Community College Transfers platform, which introduced Micro-Scholarships for transfer students, this fall.

Led by Preston Silverman, CEO and Co-Founder, RaiseMe provides an online service that aggregates scholarship opportunities from colleges and partners with universities to offer students scholarships for their achievements during high school and community college.
The plafform features 25,000+ high schools with students, 250+ college partners and has allowed students to earn a $5,000 average annual scholarship.
