Equidate, a San Francisco, CA-based stock market for private technology companies, raised $50m in Series B financing.
The round was led by Financial Technology Partners, Panorama Point Partners, and Operative Capital. Existing investors include Peter Thiel, Tim Draper, and Scott Banister.
The company intends to use the funds to expand operations.
Founded in 2014 by and Sohail Prasad and Samvit Ramadurgam, Equidate is a stock market for private companies. The company’s global electronic trading platform connects individual and institutional investors with sellers like venture capitalists and shareholder employees, as well as prominent private companies.
