21Buttons, a Barcelona, Spain-based provider of a fashion social shopping app, closed a $17m Series B funding.
The round, which brings total amount to $31m, was led by Idinvest Partners with participation from existing investors Kibo Ventures, Breega, JME VC, 360 Capital Partners, Sabadell VC, and Samaipata.
The company intends to use the funds to accelerate the expansion to additional European markets and to the US soon.
Founded in 2015, 21Buttons operates a fashion trend portal where users can both share outfits and earn money as they discover, buy, save and combine all the most closely related looks to their style. The app enables users to upload and share pictures of their outfits and tag clothes, which are then connected to a fashion brand website or an e-commerce store. Revenue are generated via commissions from affiliate programs.
The app has users in Spain, Italy, Germany, and the UK.
