Skincare app SkinNinja Raises £750K in Seed Funding

Sciapps Ltd, the UK-based company behind skincare app SkinNinja, raised £750k in seed funding.

The round was led by Voulez Capital with participation from Firestartr and the London Co-Investment Fund. They join entrepreneurial investors including:
– Colin Gillespie (Co-Founder & CSO, All Response Media),
– Mark Livingstone (ex. LoveFilm & Graze. CEO, Pharmacy2U & Chemist Direct),
– Simon Morris (ex. LoveFilm, Amazon Global Creative Director),
– Gary Dannatt (ex SimplySwitch. COO, Pharmacy2U & Chemist Direct).

The company intends to use the funds for the continued development to its proprietary technology stack, as well as investing in key hires and leading the expansion of its B2B business.

From contact allergens to carcinogens, discover what’s hiding in your skincare, cosmetics and personal care products.
SkinNinja matches expert evidence (including The International Agency for Research on Cancer and The World Allergy Organisation), to over 200k ingredients, across 800k products creating a comprehensive database that enables people to understand what’s hiding in skincare, cosmetics and personal care products, from contact allergens to carcinogens, and consequently buy smarter.
