Internet of Things Startup Sclak Raises €3M in First Venture Capital Round

Sclak, a Milan, Italy-based Internet of Things startup, raised €3m in its first funding round.

The round was led by Vertis, through Vertis Venture 2 Scaleup.

The company intends to use the funds to continue to develop its digital platform, expand abroad and sign new strategic partnerships.

Founded by Andrea Mastalli, Andrea Ferro and Daniele Poggi, Sclak has developed an IoT digital system to manage and control physical access to domestic, industrial and business doors and gates with an electric lock via a smartphone.

Users who have been activated can use the app to open doors and gates enabled by the system. The unit has a range of 15 mt (50 feet) which can be reduced if there are any onstacles in between. When the device is on and connected to the app, the button on the dashboard will be colored and ready to be pushed to open the door. Users can customize the way they access their doors and gates through the lock’s setting and invite guests.
The digital keys can be created via the smartphone, sent via e-mail, messages, customized and activated for limited periods, revoked or suspended.
