Fashion Marketplace Grailed Raises $15M in Series A Funding

Grailed, a NYC-based community-driven fashion marketplace for curated men’s clothing, closed a $15M Series A funding.

The round was led by Index Ventures, with participation from Thrive Capital and Simon Ventures. In conjunction with the funding, Danny Rimer, General Partner at Index Ventures, will join the company’s board of directors.

The company, which has raised about $20m in total funding, intends to use the funds to further enhance the customer experience, expand marketing efforts, and accelerate product supply across Grailed and its womenswear-focused sister property, Heroine, which launched in October 2017.

Co-founded by Arun Gupta (CEO), Jake Metzger (Head of Marketing), and Julian Connor (CTO), Grailed is a community marketplace for curated men’s clothing. Both Grailed and Heroine feature products from exclusive streetwear, designer, and contemporary fashion brands including Supreme, Off White, Rick Owens, Raf Simons, Gucci, Saint Laurent, Balenciaga, Prada, Celine, and more.
