Inky Technology Corporation, a Rockville, MD-based AI based anti-phishing company, raised $5.6M in Series A funding.
The round was led by ClearSky Security, with participation from BlackStone and Gula Tech Adventures. In conjuntion with the funding, ClearSky Security Managing Director Peter Kuper has joined Inky’s board of directors.
The company intends to use the funds to enhance analytics capabilities of the software and expand sales and marketing.
Led by CEO Dave Baggett, Inky provides an anti-phishing solution, Inky Phish Fence, which uses novel computer vision and anomaly detection algorithms to identify and block both brand forgery emails and spear phishing attempts. Inky Phish Fence also adds warning banners to unusual or suspicious emails, giving users specific guidance on potentially problematic messages. Users can report phishing emails via a “Report This Email” link added to each email.
Inky Phish Fence works on any endpoint via any mail client, with no additional client software required. It integrates directly into Microsoft Office 365®, and provides IT/Security teams a reporting and measurement dashboard to assess blocked threats and reported phishing emails.
The platform supports Google G Suite® implementations as well.
