Zola Raises $100M in Series D Financing

Zola, a NYC-based wedding company, raised $100m in Series D financing.

Backers included Comcast Ventures, NBCUniversal, Goldman Sachs Investment Partners, Lightspeed Venture Partners, Canvas Ventures, Thrive Capital, BBG Ventures, Female Founders Fund, Balyasny Asset Management, Founders Circle, GingerBread Capital and Jerry Yang of AME Cloud Ventures.

The company, which has raised over $140m in funding, intends to use the capital to continue to invest in cross-device product development and its proprietary platform technology.

Led by Shan-Lyn Ma, CEO and Co-Founder, Zola provides a free suite of wedding planning tools including wedding websites, a customizable checklist and a guest-list manager, designed to make wedding planning more integrated for couples and their guests.
In addition, it has over 300 brands into its online store of registry gifts.
