Xanadu Raises $9M in Seed Funding

Xanadu, a Toronto, Canada-based photonic quantum computing startup, raised a $9M seed funding round.

The round was led by Omers Ventures with participation from Golden Ventures and Real Ventures.

The company intends to use the funds for the rapid development of their approach to quantum computing.

Founded in 2016 by CEO Christian Weedbrook, Xanadu designs and integrates quantum silicon photonic chips into existing hardware to create full-stack quantum computing and help solve problems in machine learning, chemistry, finance, sensing, and drug discovery significantly faster.
