Wine Appliance Maker Plum Raises $10M in Series B Funding

Plum, a Dania Beach, Fla.-based maker of an appliance that automatically preserves, chills and serves wine by the glass, raised $10m in Series B financing.

The round was led by Las Olas Venture Capital.

The company intends to use the funds to continue to expand its Hotels program throughout the U.S.

Led by David Koretz, founder and CEO, Plum has created an appliance to deliver the perfect glass of wine on demand, every time – preserved and at the ideal serving temperature.
The company began the rollout of its Plum for Hotels program in September, 2017 to bring its on-demand, in-room wine by the glass experience to guests in luxury hotel rooms. Today, Plum counts Four Seasons Hotel Silicon Valley at East Palo Alto, The Confidante Miami Beach, Waldorf Astoria Roosevelt New Orleans, among others, as Plum for Hotels partners.
The company anticipates rolling out across more than 50 hotels through the remainder of 2018.

Plum also has offices in Palo Alto, California and Dongguan, China.
