Telemedicine Company Simple Contacts Raises $16m in Funding

Simple Contacts, a NYC-based telemedicine company for eye care, secured $16m in funding.

Backers included Waypoint Capital Partners, Goodwater Capital, Steven Cohen, executives from Flatiron Health and a number of the nation’s top ophthalmologists.

The company plans to use the new funding to invest in marketing and customer service, open new offices, and expand the business to address additional healthcare categories.

The new round brings Simple Contacts’ total funding to $26m.

Led by Joel Wishkovsky, CEO and Cofounder, Simple Contacts is a telemedicine platform that allows patients to renew their contact lens prescriptions from home.
