Suki Raises $20M in Series A Funding

Suki (Formerly known as Robin AI), a Redwood City, Calif.-based AI-powered, voice-enabled digital assistant for doctors, raised $20m in Series A funding.

The round was led by Venrock, with participation from First Round and Social Capital, as well as individual Googlers and angels, Nat Turner of Flatiron Health, and Marc Benioff.

Founded by Punit Soni (former executive at Google, Motorola, and Flipkart) and Karthik Rajan (previously led infrastructure at Oracle and Salesforce), Suki provides an artificial intelligence-powered, voice-enabled digital assistant for doctors which aims to alleviate their administrative work like medical charting in electronic health records (EHRs).
The company currently has 12 active pilots within internal medicine, ophthalmology, orthopedics, and plastic surgery practices in California and Georgia.

Its team includes technologists from Apple, Google, Salesforce, and 23andMe as well as physicians from the University of California, San Francisco and Stanford.
