Soothe Raises $31M in Series C Funding

Soothe, a Las Vegas-based provider of massage services, raised $31m in Series C funding.

The round was led by The Riverside Company.

The company intends to use the funds to expand operations and business reach.

Led by new CEO Simon Heyrick, who has served as CFO since July 2016, with Founder & CEO Merlin Kauffman moving from his role as CEO to continue to support Soothe as Executive Chairman of the board of directors, Soothe offers an on demand massage service offering four massage modalities, including deep tissue, Swedish, sports, and prenatal. All modalities can also be performed as a couples massage.
Massages are available seven days a week between 8AM and midnight.
The company works with nearly 10,000 independent certified massage therapists, all of whom are vetted in person to ensure quality service, and also provides in-office and event chair massage through the Soothe at Work program.
Launched in 2013, the company is now in over 50 major cities across the U.S., U.K., Canada, and Australia.
